We're on a on-prem jira. Is it possible to create a new ticket type with a different workflow using an existing ticket? Additionally, as a part of new ticket creation, we would like to auto-populate some of the field values onto the new ticket using the existing ticket.
Welcome to the Atlassian community. You can use the clone function which is delivered. It will however not meet all of the requirements listed above. You can use an App like ScriptRunner to accomplish everything listed above or JSU to get close to doing everything.
