In the old version of JIRA, I was able to create one sprint and it would apply  to all of my projects/boards.  Am I still able to do this in the new JIRA?  The last time I created a sprint, it only applied to one board and the unfinished items for the other boards moved to backlog.

@Julie Fair, welcome to the community. I'm not quite following you here but expect we can get to the bottom of your question.

What do you mean you could create one sprint and have it apply to all projects/boards? Sprints are unique to boards. Let me try to level us on some terminology as it might help.

  • Sprints are associated to a Board
  • Boards are graphical representations of issues based upon the Filter that is used to define the Board. The Filter can be any well formed JQL covering multiple projects if desired.

Unfinished (any issue not in the far right-hand column of a board) will move back to the Backlog when the sprint is completed. This is by design.

Can you take another swing at your question for me. Maybe a screenshot would help??
