Creating Subtasks in a project that changed projecttype

I've a multi project sprint board. One of the project is a project that has been changed projecttype form ServiceDesk to Software. Now there is no option to add subtasks to backlog items of this project.

When you changed the project type, did the issue type scheme change? Does the current one include anuy sub-task types?

I think the issue type scheme didn't change. Probably this is the issue. How to change the issue type scheme allocated to a project?
