Create subtask based on another subtask

Dennis Chen April 20, 2022

Dear all,

I am new for Jira. I would like to set an automation like this:

I have a field in the subtask, if the value = YES, then I need to create another subtask under the same parent task. If the value = NO, then no need for new subtask.

I wrote a rule yesterday, It works for the task but not for subtask as the system thought I wanted to create a subtask under the triger subtask.

Is there anyone who knows how to write this kind of automation? The triger can be anything else. But the basic thing is changing a field in one subtask and then create another subtask.

Thanks in advance.
