Hi,
I work in 2 instances.
When I create a sub-task in instance 1 and open it, I am instantly in the edit/view screen.
This is different in instance 2.
After creation of a sub-task, I open it and the create screen shows up.
I wonder which is the parameter or place where I can specify the one or the other way. I looked at workflows, systems configurations, events etc. But I cannot find the answer.
Would be great if someone could put me on the right track.
Thank you, Anette
Hey @Anette Noll
Good day!
On the instance 2, do you have any mandatory fields for subtasks? If so, when you create subtasks inline, it will open up the create screen for you to populate the mandatory fields so the creation can be completed.
Thanks!
Hi @Karan Sachdev
it is easy to say "of course" after someone has formulated the solution.
Thank you very much!!

Hello @Anette Noll
How is it possible when the sub-task has been created, to show a create screen? By default, Jira has Create, Edit and the View screen. How the first instance has been set up?

Hello @Nikola Perisic
with instance 1 I mean a free instance that we sometimes use to test some things; not very elaborated.

Hello @Anette Noll
That is a set of images for the scenario where you get the Edit screen.
Can you provide a set of images for your other scenario?
