Create button is missing on a JSM board

I want to add the 'Create issue' button in the first column of my board. This works well for Jira Software boards. However, as soons as I create a bord that shows items from a Jira Service Management project, the button disappears.

I followed all requirements that are mentioned in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-86545:

  • User has acces to create new items for this project
  • All statuses have global transitions
  • JQL query: project = TJ ORDER BY Rank ASC

Does Jira support the create button for company-managed JSM projects?

Hi @Mart Prins,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

JSM is different in that normally tickets are created from the Portal/email/chat/widget, and not via the internal create button. So what you see is expected, mainly because JSM is using a request form that can be different from what you see when using the internal Create+.

Thank you very much for the quick response. So if I understand correctly, it's not possible at all to make this [Create] button available in this case?
