Hi @Preem Prakassh Dayaal

If I understand you correctly, you will like to create a new board on an existing project which has an existing Kanban board. You want all issues that appear in this board not to appear in the current board.

Could you confirm my understanding?

Of I understood you correctly then you will need to do the following:

  • Create a component you will associate with the filter of the new board
  • Create a filter for your new board and make sure the component and project are mentioned in the filter
  • Create the new Kanban board and associate your newly created filter
  • update your existing board, add a condition to exclude all issues with the component and it should include all issues where the component is empty

The above will achieve what you want but before implementing it check with your team that they don’t want the issues in the original board in total because the filter removes it totally.

Also, if you have a test instance you can deploy the above there and have the necessary people test it before deploying this to your production instance.

Do clarify if I understood you correctly and if not let me know what I misunderstood.

It's all about the Board filter. Your board filter will do that for you but you need to know before hand as to what should be displayed in your new Board that will be different from the first Board.

Say Board 1 displays only those issues that have label1

and Board 2 displays only those issues that have label2

I guess this is the simplest form of dividing issues between boards.
