Cost of using Jira API

I read online about using Jira's REST API in order to do things such as get information about a Jira issue, worklogs and automate the creation of Jira issues. I'm wondering if in order to use Jira's API to perform such tasks, whether or not it cost money?

No.  The REST interface is (now) an integral part of Jira, and hence part of the core offering!  It's *always* available now.
