Hey,

I want to copy the components field values when creating a new issue connected to an Epos.

How can I do that? I tried several things here, but it's not working. I don't get the epos issue to read the values from when my script runner post-function is executed before "creates the issue originally". But when I put my post-function after "Creates the issue originally" I cannot use issue.setComponent(<list of values>) because the values are not set in the database then.

Does anyone have an example script to use the updateValue method for the field components (which is not a custom field). For custom fields there is an example here, but I need it for a jira field.

Another option would be to get the epos issue while creating a linked issue, but it seems I cannot get the epos issue, since the link to the epos issue is not created when the issue is not created yet.

I appreciate any help. Thank you.

Hi @Grischa Karl ,
