Copy project setting

Yoav Lazar May 30, 2023

If I've been working on a project and set specific settings (workflows, permissions, people etc...), Is there way to apply all the settings to another project.

without copying all the data

HI Yoav - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can edit an existing Company-managed project in the Project Settings to change out the schemes it is currently using for another shared existing scheme.

If you are creating a new Company-managed project, you can create it based on an existing project, which will automatically associate the new project to all of the same schemes used by the existing project.

How can I do it if I already created the new Company-managed project without mark the check box of "Share existing project"?

Go to Project Settings for the new project that was created. Then got to the Summary link on the left menu. Then you will need to click on each scheme name and then go to Actions in some cases and then Use a different scheme. Sometimes you will see the Use a different scheme directly and not have to use the Actions menu.

There is no way to do that in bulk for an existing project - you have to do each scheme one at a time.
