Copy description from a document behind hyperlink

Hi

My client has software project documentation management in a document library that is not integrated with Jira. Now they would need to start creating issues lists from projects that would fetch the issue description from a document that has only a hyperlink available in isue. Is this possible? If yes, how would it be done?

Without knowing what the application is, it is most probably going to be a custom add-on that you would have to create/use.
