Hi, when inside the details of an issue, is there a way to copy the child issue so that when I paste into Teams or outlook that the name of the child issue(s) display with an automatic link the issue?
Hi @Frank Schroeder ,
For Microsoft Teams, you have to paste specific format of the URL so that app automatically displays issue preview. Here's a similar question/discussion on the topic: Jira Cloud app on Teams doesn't create link preview
If you would only paste a child issue name/summary, this definitely isn't enough for app to automatically create preview.
I'm not sure if this answers your question. If not, could you please provide some additional details on this particular use case.
Cheers,
Tobi
Hey Tobi,
I suppose I am looking for a copy with formatting type of functionality. When I am looking at an issue, and there are 20 child issues, I would like to be able to copy the links for all 20 child issues so that I do not have to do it one at a time. If you use Github or Azure Devops you can select the child issues and click copy links, when you paste it gives use the name of the issue with a hyperlink formatted to the issue url.
Cheers,
Frank

Ah, right.
I'm not sure if that's possible within the issue view. I've managed to copy details from multiple issues by using List view.
For example,
> if you would select an Epic and child issues below it, and click on Copy to clipboard you could get a table within Teams once you copy/paste that content.
Potentially, there are some alternative ways by using Jira Cloud app for Teams, but we've just switched from Slack to Teams so I didn't manage to find it out yet. 🫤
