I have a project that contains multiple boards where the filters for each board look at a specific component to show related work. Is there a way for new issues created in a specific board's sprint backlog to inherit the component identified in the filter (or any field)? I already have automation set up so that issues inherit the parent issues' component, but this doesn't work at the epic level or anything epic-less.
Making component a required field when creating a new issue would solve this, but it'd be great to know if there's a way to keep creation friction low via automation.

Of course, after I post this, I fixed the issue. Turns out an automation was clobbering that field.
