This issue occurs the same using both the browser and the Teams Windows application.

Issue

With Jira Cloud added to Teams, I attempt to add it to a chat or team. I am given a popup with a button to log into Atlassian (screenshot 1). When I click Log in, I am given another popup. I enter my Atlassian account credentials. The login is successful, however, the login popup does not go away (screenshot 2).

As a result, the Save button within Teams never becomes available, even if I close the login popup after a successful login.

Steps I have taken to solve the problem

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the Jira Cloud App (through both browser and thick client)
  • Cleared browser cache
  • Used a different browser
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Teams desktop application

Additional Information

  • Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.5967 (64-bit)
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox

Hey @Nicolas Esatto

Sorry you're running into this issue, thank you very much for all the detail you provided!

Just to clarify a few things -

Do you have an active jira cloud subscription/site associated with the account you're logging in as?

I've seen the start.atlassian.com screen show up when you're logging into an account without access to a specific product.

If you login while trying to access... <yoursitename>.atlassian.net/jira from a browser, do you see the same start screen?

If thats not the case...one other thing to try....

Do you have a DM with the 'Jira Cloud' app? If so, could you try typing 'signout' to it and seeing if that helps resolve your situation?

I've included some screenshots of what you might see. I've also included what I would be expecting you to see on successful login.

Thank you for getting back to me, I apologize for my delay in responding.

I believe we previously had an on-prem setup, though I am not completely sure. I have been able to get a conclusive response from our IT as to whether or not we have an active subscription.

I attempted signing out from the DM with Jira Cloud but made no progress. I assume the lack of a connected subscription / site is the root problem and will continue to follow-up with my internal team to reconcile the issue.

Thank you!
