Connecting Jira Cloud to Jira Server

Is it possible to allow a Jira Cloud user to connect to a Jira Server instance, without requiring each user to have a license for both Server and Cloud?

We currently have an on-prem Jira/Confluence Server instance and have begun working with a partner company which uses Jira/Confluence Cloud.

We wish to allow them to view our issues and us to view theirs. Is it possible to configure this so that cloud users can see Server issues and vice versa?

I have tried this plugin Exalate Jira Issue Sync & more. 

it worked 1 year ago  for me with the same scenario of having server & cloud instances. I recommend for you to give a try
