Does anyone know how to integrate Confluence Space/Pages with Microsoft Purview Information Protection (previously known as Microsoft Information Protection)?
I want to use Microsoft Purview to manage Confluence Pages
Hi, @Kelly Liu. Atlassian Cloud does not integrate with Microsoft Purview (DLP—Data Loss Prevention). Atlassian offers Guard Premium, which offers DLP security features and many other security features. See https://www.atlassian.com/software/access/pricing for a side-by-side comparison of the Guard and Guard Premium product security features.
Atlassian Guard handles Atlassian-native classification labels but doesn't extend Purview's DLP policies into Confluence content itself. If you need DLP-style classification and sensitive data detection inside Confluence directly, Compliance for Confluence can definitely help (at a competitive price!)
Relevant features for a Purview-style use case would be things like AI classification to auto-label pages on publish (no manual tagging), sensitive data detection with pre-built and custom queries (PII, credentials, custom patterns), automated actions on detection — redaction, classification, or access restriction, and custom classification levels & sublevels mapped to your existing data taxonomy.
Free 30-day trial on the Marketplace. Won't replace Purview org-wide, but definitely covers the Confluence gap.
