We have a JIRA instance and a Confluence instance on prem and are looking at SSO options.  What are you using and how well does it work?  Did you have to implement crowd? Is anyone using Okta?

Single Sign On - Being able to sign into one application and not have to re-enter your credentials to login to another application.

Hi Brant,

When implementing SSO, the first question I always ask is - what do you mean by SSO?

  • the same as your AD account
  • fill a login form once in one application then be able to switch to another
  • recognise the application and fill the user/password automatically once I login in to my identity provider (e.g. Okta)
  • login into your workstation an be able to open the applications without having to enter user/password again

Once that is clear, then we can define a solution :)
