×I remember someone talking about a new JIRA release where we can configure 'not' to include a project to JIRA indexing..
Is that correct? If yes, can you point me to the version?
Hello @Fazila Ashraf
Yes, that's correct. You can choose not to include JIRA Archived project in the indexing process. This is a much needed performance improvement as old projects will no longer take up index space once they are "Archived"
From 7.10 EAP notes ( as actual release is not yet available

Project archiving in Jira Data Center
You can archive any project in Jira if you’re no longer working on it. It’s a good practice to archive inactive or completed projects, so they don’t clutter your Jira instance. Project archiving is available in Jira Software Data Center and Jira Service Desk Data Center.
Archiving a project helps you:
Improve performance by reducing the amount of data Jira has to process.
Reduce the clutter by hiding unusued projects and issues.
To archive a project:
Go to Administration > Projects.
Find a project you want to archive, and select … > Archive.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
This will be only available initially for JIRA Data center only.

Hi @Tarun Sapra
Thank you for the answer!
I use JIRA v7.2.12 on a JIRA Data center.. But i do not see the archive option..
Does it mean that the feature was only in the EAP release and never made to any production release?

It's in Jira 7.10 DC, not older versions
