×In a team-managed project we have 3 Sprint count badges on the Backlog view: 'Not Started', 'In-Progress, 'Done' - with the count of Story points
Can I configure this backlog view to have more granularity and some additional Sprint count badges e.g. 4 badges: 'Not Started', 'Dev-In-Progress', 'Test-In-Progress', 'Done'
I want to see the count of story points for issues in the "Development statuses" separated from those which are in the "Testing statuses"
Is there an article on how to configure this ? or an alternate approach ?
Hi @Simon Whiting - These are static and tied to the status category (gray = Not Started, Blue = In Progress, and Green = Done).
By design, Jira adopts Agile best practices which is all about the "issue" and what it takes to get that issue to resolved. It assumes teams are swarming on issues and reporting is about overall efficiency toward each issue so it does not break things down by sub-teams.
If you have a need to create that type of isolated reporting, you're best suited leveraging sub-tasks for the sub-team activity. This way, you'll be able to distinguish between Dev and QA workloads.
Hi Mark, Thanks for the explanation
As those 3 count badges are static, for now we decided to add a custom filter on our Backlog view, which when used allows us to filter out any issues in our different 'Test' workflow statuses. We then get the 'Blue - In Progress' badge count showing us the total points of issues in our 'Development' workflow statuses (excluding the points for those items being tested).
