Hi there,

When using Basic Search mode we need to click "More" to add more fields to search with, then select the field and then type the value we're looking to find.

Is there a way to have a number of fields already available in Search (Basic mode) by default so we don't need to click "More" and add those fields every time we need to search for that field value?

Hi Ana - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

No, I am not aware of a way to do that. If you use the advanced mode by default that might make it easier - but you will need to know JQL somewhat more.

Thanks for the answer John.

Let me reformulate the problem so maybe there's another solution that I'm not aware of:

- Basically, our team frequently (like, many times a day) needs to search for a specific field (let's call it "X") to find issues that have that specific value in that "X" field. They are not familiar with JQL.

How could we make it simple for the team to find issues with that particular value on field "X", considering that they have many projects and a pure search on Jira will return way too many values? (we just want a list of issues in a particular project that match the value)

At this moment they will need to get into the list of ll issues, go to search, click "more", add the field they want to find, paste the value into the specific field and get results.

I'm wondering if there is a better solution for this repetitive search.

Why don't you just create a filter for them and let them run that.
