Conditional post function without using any plugin

I am using the cloud instance of JIRA. I am trying to achieve the following when an issue transitioned to a specific status.

If field X = "A" populate the field Y = "D".

If field Y = "D" send an email to ZZ.

Is it possible to achieve this in JIRA cloud instance without any plugin?

No, you'll need an app to provide the condition.
