Hey,
For our Sprint-Board we have several quick filters, which filter for a given component.
One story might, for example, be a new iOS-Feature and thus receives the component iOS.
My problem is, that when filtering for iOS, we don't see the assigned subtasks. Is it possible to include subtasks in the filter, whose parent matches the filter? We don't want to assign the component to all subtasks.
Hello @Sven
Currently in Jira the quick filter apply to issues individually without taking into account their parent/child relationship.
Thus, the easiest solution to your requirement is that when a sub-task is created then it should inheirt the "component" field of the parent. This can be configured in the post-function and once this is implemented then you will not have this issue anymore and as sub-tasks and parents will have same components which is also quite logical.
Hi Tarun,
I have the same requirement to show issues with their sub tasks in a Quick Filter, in sprint board. Based on your response, I have setup same component in my sub-tasks, that I have in my story, but I am still not able to see the sub-tasks in my quick filter.
To re-phrase the requirement for clarity:
Is there as way we can create a quick filter on sprint board that shows sub tasks of all the issues that matches filter query ?
Thanks
