Hello, My board shows incorrect amount of completed issues. if all of the tasks are done it shows that 1 of them is open and relevantly 1 less is done. If I try to close the sprint with none of the tasks marked as Done it shows me that there is -1 completed issue. what can be the reason and how do I fix this? Thank you in advance.
If I understand the problem here, it's that the number of issues being completed in the sprint is not accurate. From reading your descriptions, I believe this is a variant of the bug in JSWCLOUD-25538
If you have a custom hierarchy and/or have included in the sprint issue types above the task/story level, this particular screen can show you an issue count that might not make sense.
Could you let us know what your Issue type hierarchy looks like? This page can be found in the Settings > Issues > Issue type hierarchy.
In addition to that info, could you let us know what issue types are in this sprint?
Thanks
Andy
Hello Andy,
My issue hierarchy looks like this.
my statistics got worse and now it shows me -2 completed issues. can epics be the reason? I used epics all the time but initially it did not have this problem.

At the time this was first posted, there was a bug for the sprint completion showing -1. At that time, it could happen when epic type issues were included in the sprint itself. Although that bug ticket has been resolved and fixed now, there must be something else at play here to show a -2 value now, since there was a change to include epics in the calculation.
I found there is another bug in JRACLOUD-90742 which seems to indicate an incorrect number of completed issues can be shown if the issues in the sprint are in a status that is not mapped to the far right column on the board. It might be there is something configured in an unexpected way in your environment, or there might be a different bug in play here. Were the issues/work items in a status that were not mapped to the far right column of that board? One way to check this might be to try to go to the issue navigator and create a JQL search for issues in that sprint, something along the lines of:
sprint = "Name of sprint"
Which should return all the issues in that sprint. You should be able to compare the statuses shown in the search results, then compare the mapped statuses on that board. If any issues are completed, but their status doesn't appear mapped in the far right column, it might cause unexpected behavior here.

That looks like a bug to me, it's miscounting something somewhere. I think it is worth trying to check all your data though, and maybe forcing it to recalculate.
The thing to look at is the issues in the "done" column, the one on the far right of the board (which may not be labelled as "done", but it is the most important column)
Does it have any issues in it? If it does, do any of them have sub-tasks? And are the sub-tasks also in the last column of the board?

Hello,
Thanks for your suggestions.
I have checked all my tasks and none of them have any subtasks. The tasks moved to column "Done" are gone as I complete the sprint and are lined through from the backlog view too when they are marked done but still my issue has gotten worse and now Jira calculates not -1 but -2 issues as incomplete.
For example if there are 5 issues marked as "DONE" ending the sprint looks like this:

Welcome to the community!
The board assumes if the issues are in the last column, then it is completed.
Can you please check if the tasks that are assigned with the current sprint on the board are in the last column, or if not you can choose to move those issues to the next sprint.
Also can you let me know if there are subtasks associated with the tasks and the board configuration?
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks,
Pramodh

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I have checked my tasks and no subtasks are related to them.
If I move all the tasks to "DONE" status the calculations on the modal are wrong, it has gotten worse and now calculates -2 issues instead of -1 I previously had and I cant relate it to anything. Other than that modal everything seems to be working fine, all the "DONE" tasks are gone when I complete the sprint, all the columns are working properly it just never lets my team reach the goal of completing the whole sprint it always steals 1 or 2 issues as if they are not done and its not like we are having any of them regularly in every sprint, we have different tasks every time but this miscalculation still remains.

Hi @Ketevan Sigua , issues in Sprint are considered complete if they appear in the last column on the right hand side of your board. With that said, can you assess your situation and report back? Specifically, in the image you provided you should have one completed and 59 complete. Are the five issues in the right hand column?

Regarding the one issue showing done when you indicate none are done please check the details of the one issue. Does it appear on the board? What status is it in? Could it be that the issue is in Done and the Sprint field indicates the current sprint and somehow it has been hidden from the board, e.g. filter changed during sprint?

@Ketevan Sigua , as you are on free you cannot open a support task. I will see if I can escalate here for you.

Hello,
Thanks for your suggestions.
I made that screenshot during an ongoing sprint when nothing was in the "Done" column to show how crazy this miscalculation can be when no tasks are marked as done it goes in negative numbers.
Now it got even worse and miscalculates 2 issues. For example in the screenshot below I moved 2/5 issues in "Done" column and even from the backlog view you can see from the screen they are lined through but completing the sprint shows me 5 open issues and 0 done. If I move all the issues in "Done" column it just says:

Refreshing page before completing the sprint doesn't help, subtasks are not related, all epics are switched on and I don't have hidden tasks. In case you have any other idea what else I cand check feel free to mention.
