Hi, I want to close one of my sprints and move the open issues to the next sprint. However when I hit the 'complete sprint' button and look in the list my next sprint (which is also already active) is not there.
See screenshots as well:
I want to close S&O Sprint week 5 and move the issues into S&O Sprint 6 (and eventually move sprint 6 tickets into sprint 7). They don't seem to be there and also suddenly there is one called KNKV tickets 4 and determine priority. Which I cant find anywhere (I want to close/delete those as well). I already tried to search for the sprint by typing in the name, but that just shows 'no matches'.
How do I do this?
Hi @Eva Alofs
That sounds correct, as that list of sprints to move issues into is the future sprints (or to create a new one).
My hypothesis is the designers considered that if active sprints were listed, it would require another confirmation to change the scope of the sprint. The current way helps ensure the team pauses to make the choice deliberately. For example:
Kind regards,

Hi @Bill Sheboy
Thanks for your reply, I do understand that reasoning. But in this case that is not happening.
I have now created a new sprint S&O 8, which I did not start yet, so its not active. But it is not in my list either. Additionally, sprint 3.24.0 and 3.25.0 that are in the list are also active. So that cannot be the reason...

Have you confirmed that new sprint (i.e., S&O 8) is for this board / backlog / filter, and not for another board in the same project?
Are those active sprints (e.g., 3.24.0) for this board or for another one?
I am using Jira Cloud, not Server version, so perhaps the behavior is different, although the documentation describes the same behavior: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/completing-a-sprint-938845450.html
