Hi

I have 2 projects from teams taht are not used anymore on Jira Cloud Standard.

So I can't archive them due to Standard.

I renamed them and they are still on my instance.

The concerns we have is that we want to keep the knoweldge on them so we can't delete the projects (and its attached jiras)

what are your advises on that specific case?

thanks for your advises

Hi @Carolina SILVA ,

On Jira Cloud Standard, since archiving projects isn’t available and you don’t want to delete them, the best approach is to keep the projects but you can mark them as read-only knowledge.

Recommended steps:

Rename the projects with a clear prefix like “ARCHIVED – <Project name>” or “READ-ONLY – <Project name>”.

Update the project description to explain that the project is no longer active and is kept only for reference.

Remove most users from project roles and keep access limited to admins or viewers to avoid accidental updates.

Optionally, move key information to Confluence and link it from the project, so knowledge is easier to find without working in the project.
