Comments-Now unable to write a comment and @user as notification

When writing in a Jira comment, I used to be able to state '@user', '@user' for notifications to be sent to the people im speaking with. This functionality no longer works??? Can you pls fix this??

Im using a MAC, Chrome Browser latest Version

Hi @Nicole Beames ,

It happens only when Browse Users permission for your group/s is removed under Global Permissions section which are accessible for Jira administrators.

So please check with your Jira administrator about the groups that you belong to and also check whether your group/s are assigned with Browse Users permission or not.
