Hi! I have set up personal task boards for a number of employees using a kanban board based on a filter (essentially it shows only their tasks that were created in the last 30 days). I was intending to use this as a way for employees to know what's on their to-do list without having to venture into all of the projects. The problem is, when new projects are created, their columns arent auto mapped to the columns in the kanban boards, so none of those issues show up. Is it possible to add automation to do this?

Hi @Peter Sauer -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Based on this open suggestion, I do not believe it is possible to update a board's configuration using the REST API: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-20535

If these personal views are treated as read-only, have you instead considered creating a shared dashboard, using saved filters you can update?  Then you could update this in one location as projects are added to the mix.  And the team-based work would continue on those team's boards.

Kind regards,
Bill
