Hey guys,
I have two different projects created which have Kanban boards enabled for them but the visual of the 'sub-tasks' looks different on both. I like the 'collapsible' one better but I am unable to find the difference between the two board settings and how to enable the collapsible option.
Please see the screenshots as they would explain what I am saying much better
Hi @Sehreen Jafry I'd say Mikael has answered it best so I wanted to give another perspective.
I prefer to see peoples names it just works best for the team so we go Swimlanes and Base Swimlanes on Assignees. This creates a bit of a mess on the board when we have a lot of sub-tasks so I create a quick filter called 'Remove Sub-tasks' which is just issuetype != Sub-task keeps the board clean and we all prefer the view as its easier to spot whos doing what currently.

It is based on how you group your swim lanes. Go into Board settings > Swim lanes, and if you select to sort it based on Stories you will get the collapsible view for issues that have sub-tasks.

@Mikael Sandberg I tried it after reading your comment, maybe it takes a while to kick in, because I checked and it still looks the same. :(

It should be instant. I just tested it again:

Ah, now I see. I wasn't referring to the Kanban board itself. You are right, the change on that page is instant.
But I was referring to the following page, the Kanban "Backlog":
Right before the user story icon, there is a collapsible icon to 'hide' the sub-tasks in my other project, but I don't see that icon for this particular project below.
You can refer to the comparison shot I attach in my initial thread.
