Cloud JIRA: Activity Stream only displays confluence updates

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I have the activity stream on my dashboard. It only display confluence updates, I don't have the ability to select which application I want to see activity for.
I saw someone else had a similar issue https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Activity-stream-gadget-shows-only-changes-in-the-Confluence/qaq-p/670575
However my issue has not resolved itself.
