Hi @Premiere Creative
You should be able to do this with Bulk Change:
- Go to Issues > Search for Issues
- Search for this project - either select it on Basic Search or use "project = XXX" on JQL
- Select Tools > Bulk Change in the top-right, and select to change your issues
- On Step 1, select all the issues using the checkbox in the title row
- On Step 2, select Transition Issues
- On Step 3, select what transition to make - you might need to do this for multiple workflows depending on your project setup. Step 3 might also ask you to choose a resolution
- Confirm the change and it will be actioned
^ If you don't have a resolution screen for the closure - you could also use Bulk Change to edit all the issues and add a comment if you need to - eg. "Client no longer active"
You will need the relevant permissions to complete this change. You mention above assigning them to yourself which might suggest there is an Assignee permission or workflow restriction - for this you could either:
- Use the Bulk Change feature to bulk assign the issues to yourself, then make the transition as above
- Go to Jira Admin > Issues > Permissions and check for permissions such as Close Issues, Resolve Issues, Edit Issues and Transition Issues - if these are just Assignee, change this to be a more general level of access
- Go to Jira Admin > Issues > Workflows and check the transition conditions to ensure there is no limitation on which users / roles can transition between statuses
