Cloning and Moving a sub task to a different project parent

We have two products one cloud and one desktop, so there are similar issues with both products. I need to be able to clone these sub tasks and move them to the other project parent.

Can this be done?

It looks to me like you would need to create a custom add-on for that or look at the marketplace. 

Right now cloning an issue doesn't offer any type of redirecting to another parent, let alone cloning to another project.

You can clone and then move the sub task to another parent in the same project as long as you have recently opened the Story/Parent which is really annoying and not very Agile at all

Yeah, that's definitely possible, but as you said not very end-user friendly and very error prone.

I would avoid that.
