Clone a Project with Separate Schemes

We continuously get requests to clone a project that also includes disconnecting the shared settings.  It would be ideal if we could clone an existing project, but have it create separate schemes so they are not shared. 

Is there a different plugin that would enable that type of functionality?

I believe you don't need any special functionality.

I assume you're using the standard functionality in Jira now and you are creating project with shared configuration. That means, that in the new project already existing schemes are used instead of creating the new ones. So if you don't want to share the configuration, create the project from scratch without selecting existing project.

Are there any special data/configuration that needs to be added to the new project?

Our situation is we get lots of requests for new projects that are clones of existing projects - so that the screens workflows etc are set up "like" an existing project. The request then also ask for the new project to have separate configuration so that they can be modified.

We are looking to see if there is some additional add on available so we could essentially clone a project but have the screen, worklows ets separated on create.

and do not see anything specifically that will allow us to really Copy a project not entirely Clone a project

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand why you cannot use the project creation without shared configuration.

Maybe it would help, if you specify, what you want to copy from the existing project.

Let me try to explain more...

We get requests to create a new project as a clone of an existing project. This is so that the new project has the same screens, workflow, permissions etc as the cloned project.

However the request also asks for the new project to have independent configurations so that the screen, workflows, permission etc can then be modified if needed.

Because of this we manually need to go in and copy all the screens, workflows, permissions, etc and apply to the new project.

This can be quite time consuming based on how detailed the cloned project is.

We are using this:

What we are trying to see is if the community knows of a different plugin / addon that would essentially allow of to copy/clone a project but have independent configuration in the new project when created.

ah, I understand it now. Unfortunately I'm not aware of any app, which would help you with this. 

Maybe you can try to prepare some script to and automatize the process of project creation, but it won't be easy.
