Clone Issue Is Cloning "Original Estimate"

Laura Broder August 11, 2011

Hi,

Running Jira v4.3.4#620-r152668 here.

When we clone an issue, the original estimate field is carrying over into the new, cloned issue. Per Atlassian's documentation, "Details such as time tracking and comments are not cloned."

Is there some sort of setting I'm missing? I don't see mention of it in the documentation.

JIRA Clone-Plus plugin does the same as the base clone support on the main issue and there is an option on what do for subtasks.

No, still there I think. My mistake, clone-plus only takes care of the problem for subtasks via the option. Original estimate is handled by the base clone support, but you at least have the option to edit it before the clone.

Hmm, yeah I saw that. But since it was from 2005 and the documentation says, "No time tracking cloned," I figured it had changed since then. Guess not?
