Hi all, we are using Jira and Confluence mobile apps. We have a BYOD policy via Intune MAM.

Does the Jira / Confluence mobile app embed the Microsoft Intune App Protection SDK (iOS / Android)?
Or is the Intune integration limited to identity‑ and access‑level checks coordinated via Atlassian Guard?
Which Intune App Protection capabilities are actually enforced inside the mobile apps?

For example:

  • Copy / paste restrictions
  • Screenshot blocking
  • App‑level encryption enforced by Intune
  • Selective wipe initiated by Intune

Which Intune App Protection features are explicitly not supported by Atlassian mobile apps?
(Beyond the documented limitation around Microsoft Tunnel auto‑start.)

From a security architecture perspective, is it accurate to describe the integration as:
“Intune policy presence used as an access prerequisite, while in‑app data handling and controls remain governed by Atlassian rather than Intune”?

Is there any other work around to make MAM  policies enforced on Confluence/Jira applications ?

Hi @Okan Bayramoglu

In the Administration section you can create your own mobile policy for using Atlassian mobile apps.

create-a-mobile-policy

The Atlassian apps don't inherit Intune App protection, based on my knowledge.

The device can if you enforce users to have a profile on the device based on BYOD. Apps never do this in my knowledge.
