Changing the security level in an old issue

Hey everyone, im trying to change the security level in an already established issue but the field does not appear, however when im creating a new issue the security level field does appear and im allowed to set it. 

Is it possible to set the security level in old issues that did not have any security level established? or is it only possible to set the security level in new issues when im creating them?

Yes, it is possible to set/change the security level on existing issues. If you go into the issue you should see a padlock up in the right-hand corner and if you click on it you should be able to select the security level.
