Changing the colors of statuses on kanban board

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out whether it is possible to change colors of the statuses on the board to different colors, and then have the tasks assigned to each status in the same color on the timeline? colors kanban.pngtimeline colors.png

Hi @Mateusz Czuchrak !

The color of the issue and column will always match the status category (grey for to-do, blue for in-progress and green for Done)

There is an app that allows for the status to change New Status Colors PRO for Jira Cloud | Atlassian Marketplace . I don't have experience with it and requires users to use a Chrome extension.

So it seems there isn't a great way to achieve your use case.

@Jaime Escribano _knowmad mood_

 actually we have a grey status in the second column on a Kanban board and the column is still showing blue, even though the status is grey (confirmed in site admin settings).  All the research I'm doing shows the Kanban boards operate independently, specifically this:

Each column has a gray, blue, or green bar, as shown in the screenshot above.

  • The single left-most column will always be grey, representing items in a new state.
  • The single right-most column will always be green, representing items in a successful state.
  • The middle column (or columns, if you add more) are always blue, representing items in progress.

Found in the configure columns documentation from Atlassian.

We'd really like our second column to be grey, matching the workflow status.
