Our Jira admin is away so I can't ask him, however, I need an answer for our PM before production freeze.
Issue: We have projects that were all created independently. However, this means we have custom statuses such as "waiting for specs" vs. "Wait for Specs." Or "Dev In Progress" and "Dev Work in Progress" and we need them all standardized.
Our wish is to use one set of statuses across different projects.
Is this something we can just do with a name change or is this a more complicated process?
We have about 7 projects with this issue with slightly different workflows as well.
Hi @Lauri Gardner,
If the workflows of these projects are inconsistent except for the state names, it is recommended that you can standardize the state names of one of the projects. After completing the above configuration, replace the workflow schemes of other projects with this standard workflow scheme. The system will ask you how the status names of the new and old workflows match.
If the configuration differences in these project workflows are large, you can modify each workflow one by one after defining the standard state name, and replace the old state with the new state.
It is recommended that you first test with a trial project.
