What issues I may originate when changing the URL? Will it break some link?

I don't recall any particular issue, when you're changing the base URL you need to be aware for the following:

-Proxy Settings: Changing the base URL may require update of your proxy settings depending of your Proxy configuration: Integrating JIRA with Apache

- Application links: All Application links pointing to JIRA old URL will need to be updated.

- SSL: You may need to update your SSL settings: Running JIRA over SSL or HTTPS

Besides those, this should be a painless configuration.
