Changing Issue Type Scheme in project

Hello, 

I was wondering the risk of changing the issue type scheme in a project. The issue type scheme has tasks and bugs. My idea is moving it into a Scrum issue type scheme. I was wondering if changing the issue type would impact the tasks and loss important data, such as the time invested in each task. 

My assumption is the task will be mapped into the task within the scrum scheme without affecting fields like the time invested (my main concern here), but I don't want to take the risk.

Fields will not be changed. Only statuses of issues will be changed.
