Does anybody know if it's possible to change the format of an issue key in a comment which has been generated by the wiki renderer.

At the moment, if I include the issuekey in a comment (i.e. XXX-1234) it's automatically converted into a link to that issue, which is great.

However, it currently includes the summary and status

i.e. "XXX-1234 - We need to do this thing [IN DEV]"

Is there a way of changing this so that the renderer doesn't include the summary? It makes comments really hard to parse as they now include lots of sometimes really long ticket titles

Hi Iain,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Jira is constantly changing and this option was added recently for the new issue view that has markdown and not wiki markup.
This change was added on July 11 and I searched on feature requests and similar tickets, but it's not possible to choose what fields to show when we paste the issue key on a comment/description.
- The new Jira issue view

Feel free to create a subtask on JRACLOUD-70555 suggesting the ability to edit the fields that appears when we add an issue key on the comment.

Regards,
Angélica
