Cascading Automation Rules?

I have an automation rule that when a numerical field "A" in a child subtask is updated, two numerical fields "B" and "C" in the parent task issue are updated. I have another automation rule that is supposed to trigger a change in field "D" in the tasks parent Epic issue when the value in field "C" changes. The second rule is set for "Any changes in the field value" and no specific issue operations are chosen. The first rule performs just fine, but the second rule does not trigger. I can get it to trigger if I manually change the value in field "C", but I would like this done automatically. Any thoughts/suggestions.

Hi @john.monteith,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Since your automation that updates field D based on field C and field C is changed via an automation you have to make sure that you check Allow rule trigger on the one that updates field D:
