I cannot set the status of an initiative to in progress or done. When I select a status and set the required reason code, it will only update the reason and keep the previous status. Any ideas? All epics linked to the initiative are already marked done.
In the workflow that the project is using, make sure that the transition has the "Set issue status to the linked status of the destination workflow step." post function. I ran into the same issue a couple of weeks ago and it turned out that that post function was missing. Since it is a default post function, the only way to add it back is to remove the status from the workflow and re-add it.
