Cannot see EPIC on backlog & kanban board

Hi, 

I would like to show my EPIC (renamed as deal) on my 'SF' board. I already set the filter query on the board to: 

project = SF AND issuetype in (Deal, Project) ORDER BY Rank ASC

Please help. Thanks!!

Welcome to Atlassian Community!
I tested on my local environment the same JQL on a Kanban board and it shows the epics correctly, even if I change the name.
Have you checked on the Board Settings > General if it does not show any warning related to the filter?
A message that can show informing that some issues won't show is: "Some issues in the Saved Filter will not be shown on the board. View unmapped statuses which contain these issues."
If you change the filter to show other issue types, does it work?
