Cannot install input queue on WIN10

Hello Everyone,

 

I have been receiving a lot of complaints from customer where they are not able to connect to printer. This is happening especially when they either upgrade to WIN10 21H1-21H2 or if they join a new computer to domain.

  1. we have tried to modify the LAN manager authentication level "LmCompatibiltyLevel" key
  2. we also have tried adding the RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled key

What i have realised is that the laptop cannot install the driver (due to security level issue)

  • when we tried installing the printer driver manually and then connect to the printer on the print server.
    • It worked 
  • I had to modify the Point and Print restrictions and then it worked.

However, this only worked with one customer. I still have 3 customers who are facing the issue and none of the above worked for them.

Any Suggestions?

I think you may have landed in the wrong place.

This is a community of people here to talk about Atlassian stuff, not printers or windows.  My guess is that your printer supplier or internal helpdesk is using Atlassian to support the documentation or helpdesk and you have clicked on "help with Atlassian system" instead of "help with the printer"!
