Hi, Set up a 3 project/space in JIRA Cloud.

System Requirements

Derived System Requirements

Subsystem Requirements

I created a work type in each with the title as the name.

I made some tests and I can link, between the projects for instance "blocked by" relationships. However I cannot change the parent field, as in its uneditable.

I also wanted to ask, is this because I don't have an epic in the spaces only a work type.

I've been asked to have 3 different projects as they wanted 3 different issue numbers e.g. SR-00001, DSR-00001, SSR-00001

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Adon,

Make sure you add the Parent field to the screens used by the Spaces.

No, it doesn't matter if you have an Epic in the system or not - the field is just a field. But it needs to be added to the screen.

I've read that. How do I see screens? Is it something our JIRA admin can see?

Yes, a Jira Admin would probably need to add it. One thing to try - while on an open card/work item, scroll down to the very bottom on the right hand side and see if there is a Configure link/button. If so, click that and then see if you can add it to the layout there. You will need to be at least a Space/Project Administrator to do that.
