Cannot copy and paste text from an issue

When trying to copy and paste text from within a Jira issue (either from a description or comment), the pasted result is simply the issue key (not a URL, just plain text of the issue key).

This happens when I try to paste into the same, or another issue, and when I try to paste into an external destination. How can I copy / paste information as normal?

Hi, I am having the same issue. It appears to be new, I used to be able to copy and paste plain text between tickets. Even when I try to Ctrl + Shift + V into Notepad, it will only copy the issue key

Hi @Niamh Hogan ,

I guess the issue might be with the pasting format, once copied , please use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste on the destination . This shortcut will be paste the content in the copied format.

Hi @Harshit Grover  - Apologies, I should have specified in my original query, the issue also occurs when I Ctrl + Shift + V. It's very strange!
