Cannot add authenticator app in new phone.

I have switched to a new phone. Installed the authenticator app. But Atlassian is not on there. Currently logged in using the emergency recovery key. But cannot seem to get to the QR code page. How can I configure the Microsoft auth app again?

Uh, interesting @Md_ Abrarul Huda - would be great if I had a spare phone to test it out.

Is your account company-managed, or did you set two-step verification yourself?

If you can log in to your account (if you're already logged in somewhere) and navigate to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/two-step-verification could you try disabling it? If you managed to do so, try enabling and configuring it again on the new phone 👀

I haven't had that case yet, but you could also try to reach out to Atlassian Support for more assistance on the matter.

Cheers (and GL),
Tobi

Company managed account. Can't disable two-factor. Logged in with emergency key right now.

Cool. Yeah, it kinda depends on how everything is configured then. If you use SSO, then you're not able to configure/use Atlassian's two-step verification. And, if you're using IdP's solution, then you'll probably need to contact your IdP admin (whether you use Entra ID, Okta, or something else) to assist you there.

For example, this is what it looks like on one of my Atlassian accounts - can't control much myself as it's all configured in IdP:2025-05-24_19-55-14.png
