Cannot add Bug issue type in Sub Task Issue type

Cannot add Bug in Sub Tasks, its throwing an error 

"An issue type with this name already exists". Can't i use same issue type in Sub tasks issue type ? Please clarify..

You can not create duplicate issue types.  How would people know which one it is if you have two with the same name?  Or Jira?  The JQL "issuetype = Bug" could not work if you had duplicate names.
