Can you restrict a User to view stories with a specific label?

Hi all,

Is there a way to create a user that has access only to a specific label rather than a project? We have a label this is given across multiple projects but want the user only to have access to the stories with the relevant labels and nothing else. Can this be done?

Kind regards,

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

no, you can't add permissions based on labels.

Permissions are based on the project level. You might do something with issue security within your projects, but I think this would be very cumbersome:

  • your user gets permissions in all your projects
  • then create an issue security scheme
  • add a Security Level "anyone except user x"
  • add all the other user of your project to that level
  • add this security scheme to your projects
  • add the security level "anyone except x" to all issues without the label

Well, as I said, it's cumbersome and error-prone. I wouldn't do that. But it's possible.
