Can you hide specific fields for specific user group?

I would like to assign visibility of specific fields to a specific user group. Can you set permissions to view a specific field (eg. estimate field) to a certain group?

No, Jira does not have field-level security.  Years ago, I was told they were never going to add it, as it's a collaborative anti-pattern, and Jira's sell is as a collaboration tool!
